Autumn event 2019

The second annual event of Edufound was a thanksgiving service held at the Gantshill Methodist Church just off Cranbrook Road.  Doors opened at 5pm and early arrivals were treated to tea and coffee as they waited for the service to commence at 5.30pm.  The service was opened by Rev Kido Baek, the host Pastor, who is the Minister-in-Charge at Gantshill Methodist Church.  The guest minister Rev Phillip Sanneh of St. John’s Anglican Church, South Norwood conducted the service and gave the word of encouragement. Our thanks go to these two godly men who graced the occasion.

The administrative team at Gantshill Methodist church were very helpful and played key roles in ensuring the success of the evening.  Special thanks to Sue Catmur who was the organist for the event and Don Gomm who was the technical assistance for the evening.  Thanks also to Liz Weatherstone who arranged everything so beautifully and to Sis. Mary who was a staunch support.  God bless you all.

We had special reason to give thanks to God for what had occurred. After two years of struggling to raise funds to make furniture for the Albion School, we came into contact with a furniture donation company who were willing to collect furniture on behalf of the organisation at the cost of £1 per item. This resulted in a potential 90% cost savings and we had to give thanks.

About forty-three people attended the service and a special offering was raised.   Afterwards light refreshments was served.

Special thanks to all who attended the evening.  We are grateful for your support and generous donations.  God bless you all.
